SEABROOK INTERMEDIATE SCHOOLSince opening our doors in 1966, Seabrook Intermediate has nurtured young learners and prepared them for the next step in their scholastic journey.
Our teachers and staff help each child reach his or her academic potential. For the 2013-2014 school year, Seabrook Intermediate students scored high on the State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness (STAAR), with over 95% passing in reading and over 96% passing in mathematics. We believe that cooperation between teachers, administration and families is crucial and we encourage parent participation to ensure student success. This is evidenced through annual surveys of parents and teachers. In a 2014 email survey, 81% of our parents gave Seabrook Intermediate a grade of A or B in the category of “Community and Parental Involvement Opportunities.” Both parents and staff gave our school high marks regarding the overall perception of education quality at Seabrook: At Seabrook Intermediate we put students first, an attitude that begins with our leadership. The same email survey showed that 81% of Seabrook Intermediate employees are satisfied with the vision and leadership of the principal and administrative staff at Seabrook. Seabrook Intermediate believes in growing teachers as leaders and giving them every opportunity to inspire young thinkers and learn from fellow educators. When surveyed, 96% of our teachers agreed that collaboration among teachers and staff is encouraged at Seabrook Intermediate. At Seabrook Intermediate, we believe in developing our students socially as well as academically. Every day, we create inspired learners, responsible citizens and future leaders. |
